As the title says i am not able to connect to the internet using the ethernet connection from the virgin superhub 3 modem.
Virgin hub ethernet cable.
If your computer doesn t have an ethernet port try using a usb to ethernet adapter or a thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adapter.
But i can connect to the wifi using my laptop.
I was also planning to get an even longer one to run to my spare.
In many cases you ll automatically connect to the internet.

If you also need to move your virgin media super hub router from one location to another then this method will also work to do that.
It literally takes less than 3 minutes to extend or replace your existing length of cable and most importantly the cable is the same specification with no loss of broadband speed or hd video quality.
This is often a yellow cable with two ends that look exactly the same.
Please only use the power adapter provided.
I would like the wired connection to work as i play a lot of online games.
Next grab the power adapter and plug it into the small round socket underneath the red tab.
An ethernet cable which is the piece of cable that comes with your virgin media hub or super hub that connects it to your computer.
A network adapter you ll need this for every computer you want to connect.
I ve just bought a cat 7 ethernet cable to wire my pc in other room directly to my hub 3 in livingroom would this cat 7 cable be 4033136.
I need a longer ethernet cable but am really unsure what to buy cat 5 6 7 or 8 and what else to look for.
In that case i would try another port on the router if that doesn t resolve it then change the ethernet cable if the issue remains then whatever is on the other end of that cable is causing some sort of problem.
Which ethernet cable best suits hub 3.
Step 3 connect the co axial cable to your new hub.
Hi i am getting terrible wifi on the same floor as my hub so am going to try and move the hub nearer to the centre of the house.
Grab the end of the white co axial cable and connect to the pokey out socket on the hub.
